How does it work?

Silk’n use a patented hair removal technology called HPL (Home Pulsed Light). It combines optical light energy and galvanic energy to permanently stunt hair regrowth.

Optical light energy is directed into the skin, which is then absorbed by the melanin in the hair shaft. This is then transformed into heat, which destroys the hair follicle so it no longer grows back. It’s completely painless and leaves the skin surrounding it completely unaffected so it’s non-invasive too.

The additional galvanic energy works to target deep-rooted or stubborn hairs more a more powerful hair removal treatment.

Treatment plan

With all hair removal devices, you need to use them regularly in the initial stages to ensure all hair follicles are treated. This is because your hair grows in different phases, and permanent hair reduction treatments are only effective in certain stages of hair growth.

Silk’n recommend the following treatment plan:

Treatments 1-4: Two weeks apart.

Treatments 5-7: Four weeks apart.

Treatments 8+: Treat as and when needed until the desired results are achieved.

How to use

Step 1: Ensure all jewellery is removed before use.

Step 2: Shave the treatment area before using the device. Then ensure it is free from any products.

Step 3: Cover up any tattoos, freckles or moles with a material that does not absorb light.

Step 4: Turn the device on.

Step 5: Select your energy level.

Step 6: Select glide or pulse mode.

Step 7: Treat all desired areas of your body.

Step 8: Apply moisturiser to treatment area.

Who Can Use Silk'n?

The Silk'n Infinity is suitable for all skin tones and hair colours. However, the device won't work if you have a skin and hair colour combination of skin tone VI and grey hair.

It also has a unique built-in Skin Colour Sensor, which stops the device from emitting a strong light pulse if your skin tone is too dark. The clever safety mechanism means that light can only emit upon contact to your skin.
